Throughout the course, economic and financial issues are strongly linked and you will be exposed to a combination of qualitative and quantitative skill building tools. This degree will give you a variety of cognitive and employability skills, graduate qualities, and insights into the workplace, as well as opportunities to build collaboration, leadership, organisational, presentation, and analytical abilities. We are one of the few universities in the UK offering direct use of Bloomberg data, information and analytics in a dedicated trading room trading simulations and asset management using dedicated Bloomberg terminal which provides a simulation of what it’s like to work on a real trading floor in the financial district. On this course you have the opportunity to include a Professional Placement as an optional component of your degree. Our skilled academic and professional team will assist you in completing your academic assignments with extra tutorial help, as well as finding a Professional Placement that will provide you with hands-on business experience. The foundation year will help you to broaden your industry knowledge and enable you to progress to a related undergraduate degree. It aims to help you develop a strong foundation of business knowledge, alongside academic and transferable skills to ensure you get the most out of your degree-level studies.

This course is run at our Canterbury Campus in Kent. Canterbury is just 50 miles south-east of London and less than an hour by high-speed train from St Pancras. Located on a UNESCO World Heritage Site the campus offers state-of-the-art buildings, right in the centre of a vibrant and world-famous cathedral city. You’ll benefit from a campus with excellent learning and teaching resources, music venues, a superb sports centre, a well-stocked bookshop and plenty of coffee bars and places to eat. A short walk away is Augustine House our award-winning library and home to a vast range of learning resources and student support teams.
