Our MSc Finance and Economics course is ideal for you if you already have a strong grounding in economics, are highly numerate, and want to learn to apply your knowledge to finance.You will explore the most advanced tools in finance and use your economics background as a springboard to increase your career options. You will be considering jobs in the City or in the capital markets of your own country, in areas such as asset management, corporate finance, trading, financial regulation, and economic and financial consulting and central banking.As the anticipation of jobs being challenged by Artificial Intelligence becomes a reality, we aim to share the skills and depth of understanding needed to design, develop, and supervise these new forms of financial intelligence.
A 2:1 or First Class Honours undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a related subject.
Your degree would normally need to be in economics, or have had a substantial economics component, and you must have taken courses in microeconomic and macroeconomic theory at an intermediate level. Competencies are also required in calculus, statistics and econometrics.
