What you will study

Our Film Production and Broadcast Engineering BEng (Hons) degree combines the study of engineering theory with practical skills development. You’ll study the fundamentals of signals, computing and broadcast technologies, video and audio engineering, wireless links and video over IP. On the practical side, you’ll study camera skills, cinematography for drama, film sound, production management, TV studio skills, animation, postproduction, visual effects and colour grading. See a selection of our students’ work. All our technical modules have practical labs, giving you a hands-on learning of the topics. Our professional facilities will familiarise you with industry-standard equipment and allow you to work at the highest level. This, along with a focus on professional attitudes to work and health and safety, will prepare you for professional industry.
