This programme aims to provide you with the knowledge, skills and experience to operate independently and successfully within the dynamic area of sports coaching and development.

You will studying a range of modules, including the fundamentals of strength and conditioning, the physiology of human performance, sports development and coaching and performance analysis.

Study Aims

This programme aims to provide you with the knowledge, skills and experience to operate independently and successfully within the dynamic area of sports coaching and e underpinning course objectives are as follows:

  • To provide applied learning experiences enabling you to become practitioners in the fields of sports coaching and sports development;
  • To develop your ability to apply sport coaching and development knowledge, skills, principles and practices in both theoretical and work based settings;
  • To develop your critical thought, intellectual reasoning and practical capabilities for application within diverse and dynamic sports coaching and development settings;
  • To promote an ethos of self-reflection and self-development that enables continuous professional development for current and future work based practices;
  • To equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours that enable you to progress successfully into work or higher level study.
