Our FdSc Nursing Associate Higher Apprenticeship provides educational opportunities to enhance your skills, values and knowledge.
You will learn how to provide holistic, hands-on and compassionate care under the direction of a registered nurse.
This programme is validated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. On completion of this course you will have met all the NMC Nursing Associate Platforms, which represent the standards youll need to meet when youre caring for people in a professional healthcare role.
The concept of the nursing associate role was first introduced in the Shape of Caring Review (2015) where the development of a defined highly trained support role to help registered nurses deliver safe, effective and responsive care was needed in order to respond to the future nursing needs of the public and patients.
You can choose to study this course at either our Preston, Burnley or Westlakes campus.
