The BA (Hons) Fashion Communication is a fashion-focused visual design course. We combine art direction, styling, graphic design, film, animation, photography, journalism, events, and trend forecasting for fashion.
We brand, style, write, shoot, package, and direct. As an interdisciplinary course, we communicate to consumers in both the real world and the metaverse, driven by creative storytelling. We are not mere followers we are pioneers, embracing a forward-thinking mindset that positions us at the forefront.

This course offers an optional professional placement year. This allows you to spend a whole year with an employer, following successful completion of your second year, and is a great way to find out more about your chosen career. Some students even return to the same employers after completing their studies.
If you choose to pursue a placement year, you will need to find a suitable placement to complement your chosen area of study. You will be able to draw on the Universitys extensive network of local, regional, and national employers, and the support of our Careers teams. If you are able to secure a placement, you can request to be transferred to the placement version of the course.

112 UCAS tariff points from three A Levels. Grades BBC (or equivalent). Required subjects: Psychology or Science subject at A-level or Level 3 equivalent, at Grade B or above. Excluded subjects: General Studies; Critical Thinking; Extended Project.
Please note: If you qualify for our BCU Accelerate scheme, you could receive an offer that is two grades below our normal entry requirements.If your level 3 qualifications do not meet the UCAS tariff for this course, you may be offered a place on our Foundation Year instead. You do not need to submit a separate application but will automatically be considered for this if your predicted grades fall below the UCAS entry tariff.
