Prepare for the constantly evolving fashion industry with the Pearson BTEC Fashion and Textiles HND Level 5. Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for sustainable fashion. Dive deep through a variety of fashion and textiles areas, including fashion design, garment construction, pattern cutting, fabric manipulation, and sewing machine techniques, all with a focus on minimising environmental impact and promoting ethical practices. Grasp at the endless opportunities to explore various fashion and textile techniques, develop your creative practice through hands-on workshops, and gain insights from expert lecturers, engaging in real-world projects to build a comprehensive portfolio. As a Boston College student, you will have access to our Art and Design facilities tailored for fashion and textiles, including dedicated studios for printmaking, drawing, fashion (for pattern drafting and garment construction), photography with digital SLR cameras, and digital media labs with industry-standard software. With abundant resources at your disposal, you will integrate sustainable principles into your creative process, preparing to thrive in the dynamic fashion and textiles industry with a strong commitment to environmental responsibility. During your first year, you will study a Level 4 HNC. Upon successful completion of the first year, you will then progress on to the second year to study the Level 5 HND.
