Public health, exercise and nutrition practitioners designed this course in collaboration with NTU. This makes the course ideal if you are interested in the factors that influence health. You will concentrate on the roles of physical activity, exercise and nutrition in the prevention and management of disease. This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to allow you to improve the health of individuals, groups, communities and population through exercise, physical activity, nutrition and healthy eating.You will apply this knowledge to a UK public health setting and look at strategies to promote health using exercise, physical activity and nutrition and monitoring and evaluation.

All our courses offer the opportunity to apply for a placement in the UK or abroad, giving you the real-life experience employers are looking for, including recent placements at British Olympic Association, Nottingham Rugby Club, England Hockey, Nottingham Forest Football Club, Derby Rugby Club and British Association for Sport and Exercise Sciences.
• We’ve got an excellent employability record. Over 97% of NTU graduates are employed or engaged in further study six months after leaving.
• We have inspiring learning environments. We have a bespoke sport psychology and management suite, exercise and health laboratories, a biomechanics laboratory and biochemistry laboratories. We are one of the few campuses with our own environmental chamber. We also have Performance Analysis and Human Movement laboratories including a 3D motion capture system that analyses human movement.
• Get extra qualifications. You can gain extra recognised qualifications including Exercise Referral, Food Hygiene and Cook and Eat session delivery.
• Get a head start. Currently over twenty-five health and related organisations support this course, all providing invaluable industry experience, including Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food, The East Midlands Platform for Health and Wellbeing, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Slimming World and Nottingham City Council.
