This course examines esports from several perspectives, namely competitive coaching and development, sports psychology, and player welfare.

This exciting degree combines your enthusiasm for esports and gaming with esports coaching and management allowing you to learn through the lens of your passion. Your modules have been carefully selected to create an enjoyable and engaging journey as well as being challenging for you as a student, whilst combining best-practice coaching knowledge from traditional elite sport and business. This blend will provide a strong foundation in all that is coaching and management within the context of esports and ensure that via your TRI-Curriculum, you will be able to apply your knowledge through work experience within the industry from an early stage. Your modules such as ‘Fundamentals of Esports Coaching' and 'Foundation of Teaching and Learning’ allow you to put your skills into practice from year one. Importantly, the ability to vocationally apply your knowledge into the esports industry from your first year will help to create a strong personal portfolio of evidence, and track record of your work and achievements to support employability. Thus, we will work together on your exit strategy from early in your degree programme. As you progress into your second year, our academic areas such as ‘Player Psychology in Esports’ and ‘Movement Science for Esports’ dovetail perfectly with the more traditional subjects such as ‘Esports, Regulation & Risk’ and your Inclusion module. As your journey matures into your final year, our newly developed subjects of ‘High-Performance Esports Coaching’ and ‘Player Management Welfare’ will pull together all your knowledge in preparation for your exciting career.
