Best aspects - Student support both academic and career is outstanding there is always somewhere or someone you can go to for advice. Worst aspect - Uni bus is no longer free (and doesn't goes past my house but thats just personal).

The staff are super friendly and kind. There is a lot of support and the campus is lovely. Derby is a great city to study in.

Some parts of the university could do with some renovation, as some parts and corses have been neglected in favour of newer projects, all courses should have the same level of quality and opportunities

The course content and teaching staff have been fantastic, the facilities are really good and the location is excellent. The main improvement I would say would be for the university to invest more in it's staff, especially lecturers and technicians rather than the facilities themselves. Having a super lab sounds really exciting but it won't be very useful when there's no money to have staff in the roles that are so important to the learning experience. It would also be great if the university had PhD funding opportunities for students that love the university and would like to continue there. By not having any funding opportunities, prospective PhD students and early career researchers that could be important to the university are going to be forced to continue their education and careers elsewhere.

I am super impressed with my first term at Derby. It was a friendly and professional start. I felt included and supported. The staff could not have done anymore to support us and give us a great beginning to university life.
