COURSE OVERVIEW
Enhance your midwifery knowledge, clinical reasoning, and decision-making skills with our work-based Master’s degree in Enhanced Professional Midwifery Practice.
The course is a highly flexible and modular programme led by your learning and professional development objectives as both a student and a busy midwife.
You will cover key policy and practice related topics and refine your critical research and analytical skills in relation to midwifery. With the support of an academic mentor you will also develop professional reflective practice techniques.
ENHANCED PROFESSIONAL MIDWIFERY PRACTICE CAREERS
Your postgraduate qualification in Enhanced Midwifery Practice opens up career development opportunities in this rewarding field, including in research, education, policy development, and management.
Our career support services include:
We also provide help and advice for Swansea University Alumni up to two years after you graduate.
This course is aimed at graduate midwives who are NMC registered. Non-graduate midwives seeking similar opportunities will be able to study on the existing BSc (Hons) Enhanced Professional Practice. Requirements regarding clinical experience will be individual; however, most midwives would expect to consolidate their practice as a newly qualified midwife before seeking further education opportunities. Admission to study, for most applicants, will be based on agreement from your employer in relation to funding or study leave. The College will also consider you if you choose to self-fund and undertake studies in their own time.
