Our English with Creative Writing degree allows students to focus on creating their own texts, alongside studying the work of other writers.This degree offers great flexibility through its mixture of optional and compulsory modules in creative writing, literary history and the study of language, allowing you to tailor the course to suit your interests. Just as our academic staff are recognised for their expertise in areas such as contemporary poetry and theory, playwriting, culture and communication, and literature, your creative writing lecturers are practitioners in poetry, fiction and life-writing. Their knowledge of these subject areas and enthusiasm for their research and teaching make this a vibrant and supportive place for you to study, a place where you can learn the many different skills you will need, including transferable skills for your future employment.The curriculum for our English with Creative Writing degree offers you the freedom to tailor the course to your interests - covering creative writing, literature and language within a broad range of fields and approaches, providing a stimulating environment for your degree work.
