Our Foundation Entry degree courses are ideal if youve got the ability to study for a degree, but dont have the necessary formal qualifications to directly join an Honours programme. Its a great stepping stone to a full degree. Develop and strengthen your love of literary texts and gain skills in analysis, written and oral communication, and cultural and social sensitivity. Youll study Shakespeare, Dickens and the Brontë sisters, and you can also take options in American drama and literature, the fairy tale, childrens literature, the Gothic and the Grotesque. Our course offers a unique combination of subject expertise, knowledge of the intellectual heritage of literature, and learning activities designed to make you more employable. Study abroad as part of your course – we have a scheme where you can choose to spend a semester or year abroad, with exchange agreements with universities in many countries. Our graduates also pursue careers in management, commerce and public service. Further study is also available at masters or PhD level.
