I love that it’s so close to the coast and right to singleton park which is massive. There is loads of student support but you do have to put some effort into finding it in some cases. Parts of campus like the abbey are pretty, but some look a bit worn down, e.g accommodations. Good atmosphere on campus though and plenty of societies.

Great location and with lots of friendly staff. Some facilities are a bit dated and the heating is not efficient enough in the winter. However there are lots of great spaces to balance out.

The transportation during the holidays, as a student who lives in the Bay campus during the holidays it gets difficult to travel to the city centre with such few buses.

Really friendly feeling and welcoming, everything you need is here apart from heating in any building or lecture theatre.

The scenic destination places students at the centre of great thrift shops, sea-side cafes, and restaurants. It’s very close to the mumbles pier where you can find an arcade, a ferris wheel and a lovely ice-cream parlour. You can see the Sea from your classroom and the beach is a short walk away. The campus itself is gorgeous and very well kept with QR codes on dining tables to order food and drinks as you study. There are so many clubs and student-life events to join. We have free water all over campus as well as free sanitary products in all toilets. We have a store on campus to do some light grocery shopping, as well as a Greggs, a burrito bar, a starbucks, and a pizza parlour! Your lecturers are so supportive and helpful, and there are countless members of staff ready to help you, whether in the library when you can’t find a book, or in the hub when you need help with your financial situation. Our only parking option-site campus security makes everyone feel safe, as well as our on-site GP clinics and our sexual health advisors, who provide free testing and are able to prescribe contraception. One thing that would help improve the university would be on-site parking. Our only parking option is a 10 minute walk away and an expensive parking ticket. When students have late classes and have to walk back to their car in the dark, it’s terrifying. A lot of students also aren’t in the financial position to pay for parking everyday so they simply don’t come in. It’s sad that we have to pay for parking 10-15 minutes away from a university we pay to go to.
