This course is for students who are passionate about literature and want to apply critical reading and research skills to a diverse range of writing practice. Throughout the English Literature and Creative Writing degree course, you will combine a knowledge of literary theory with your own writing, learning how writing can perform and interrogate theory.You will also consider a variety of texts in relation to political, aesthetic and cultural ideas in order to enhance your own work. Trips and research projects offer a highly practical way of understanding the connections between theory and practice.Our enthusiastic and award-winning tutors will help you to become a motivated thinker and writer with excellent critical and creative writing skills.We also work with local publishers and authors to develop your professional understanding of writing.
