You spend your first two years at Essex, learning about public and private law in the UK and in France. You take modules required to meet the academic criteria for training to become a solicitor or barrister in the UK. You are taught in both English and French so you must be bilingual in both French and English to be considered for this course. In your third year, you study at a partner institution in France, where you follow modules in French law to obtain the Licence en Droit.
