What is Engineering Management MSc?
This course will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills for engineering management to advance your career as a leader within a competitive international engineering environment. You’ll develop your understanding of key aspects of engineering management and explore how they fit into the context of modern industrial sectors. We’ll also provide you with opportunities to address the challenges, problems and solutions involved in engineering management.
This course has been designed for students interested in developing their careers in both theoretical and practical areas of engineering management. It can also prepare you to continue your studies to doctorial level research.
You’ll become an effective multi-disciplinary engineer with the creative, technical, management and research skills you need to work in the broad spectrum of modern industry. Students successfully completing this course will be able to make an immediate contribution to a company’s performance and operations within the broad spectrum of modern industry.
Study style
Modules will be delivered through a series of lectures covering core concepts and material, and will be developed further during workshop/laboratory sessions where students will complete a number of associated and linked practical tasks. The assessment is 100% coursework and report based.
You’ll have the chance to work both as an individual and as part of a team on an industrial engineering management project. You’ll also complete an advanced research project.
Possible careers
Graduates from this course can go on to work as:
BSc or BEng (min Honours 2:2) in general engineering, electrical, electronics, mechanics or computing. We welcome applications from mature students (aged 21 and over) and do not necessarily require the same academic qualifications as school leaving applicants though the entry requirements still apply for Professionally Accredited Courses. We accept Access to Higher Education Diplomas and make offers on an individual basis.
