Loughborough University's Energy Engineering programme has been developed through its extensive industrial links and research expertise in renewable energy and sustainable technologies. The course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and transferable skills needed to address global energy supply security challenges and sustainable development goals.As global energy demands continue to rise, this interdisciplinary course positions students to contribute to the advancements in both existing and emerging technologies across the energy sector. With many countries now achieving 50% renewable energy production, the programme explores the interconnected, agile supply and delivery systems and the vulnerabilities that come with them.Students will develop an understanding of energy services, efficiency, environmental compliance, and sustainable energy technologies. They will have access to the state-of-the-art facilities and expertise at the Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST). The course also integrates key engineering principles from mechanical, sustainable manufacturing, and electrical engineering.
