Overview

Our Endodontics MSc is designed to give you the skills to successfully and confidently manage more complex and demanding endodontic cases. We will provide the latest evidence-based knowledge in endodontology enabling you to successfully integrate endodontic therapy with other aspects of restorative dentistry, and learn research methodology. This course is mostly delivered online, so you can study anywhere in the world with minimum disruption to your professional and personal life while benefitting from world-class teaching.

Course detail

This is a three-year course leading to an MSc in Endodontics. You will study the scientific basis of endodontology, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with complex endodontic problems, and clinical treatment of patients with endodontic and other restorative problems. You will also study and develop research methodology skills to enable you to undertake a research project and further your expertise. We will train you with the latest evidence-based knowledge in endodontology and enable you to successfully integrate endodontic therapy with the other aspects of restorative dentistry.

Teaching and assessment

We will use a delivery method that will ensure students have a rich, exciting experience from the start. Face to face teaching will be complemented and supported with innovative technology so that students also experience elements of digital learning and assessment. You will be taught mostly online through King’s E-learning and Teaching Service (KEATS) which provides information, interactive questions, assignments, use of bibliographic databases and reading material. Our students participate in online tutorials and discussion groups, interacting with expert tutors and their fellow students. Face-to-face lectures and hands-on training take place in blocks in the first two years (seven consecutive days in Year 1 and seven consecutive days in Year 2 at King’s College London, Waterloo Campus). Students are required to undertake and build a reflective log of clinical work in their own general practice.
