Electrical Power Engineering (Higher Apprenticeship) - HNC

University of Portsmouth

Best aspects are the facilities for the course, engineering labs facilities are good, as are the lecture halls. All of my lecturers so far have been engaging and knowledgeable about their subjects. As I'm a degree apprentice I don't have as much experience with the student life aspects. The worst aspects are learning the campus locations as the university is spread out across Portsmouth and initial induction where I didn't receive my timetable for the first two weeks of the course.

It’s a great place for students and the weather is suitable for all country students they can easily adapt compared to other part of the UK . The ranking of university is also very good.

The university of Portsmouth makes it a great place to study! the amount of people you get to meet, to make new friends, if you struggle with your work, you can ask your friends (they may be in the same boat as you are). So you can both do your work together or even with a group of friends, more the better! The lecturers are always friendly, they always make sure if you need help, to email them, to go to them to have a one to one if your not understanding any of the work and its great to have the opportunity to do so, because even myself, i do struggle sometimes with my work, but i do understand the concepts of it. At the end of the day, its always the people who you are friends with, who get you, they will always stick by you, as they can help you with your work or even personal things that are going on if you cant come into university or even just be there for a friendly face when you need it most. I decided to come to The University Of Portsmouth, because of the engineering and the technology side of it, because not many universities offer engineering and technology, or even have a great up to date technology center, which is amazing, I absolutely love it here. There is so much to do and i cannot be bored at all, because there's always something to do every single day.

The University is very friendly to students and provides continuous support. Improve on library resources specifically availing more materials for research. Overall UoP is a great place to study and enjoy at the same time.

Best aspects are the regular flow of information by email. Competent teachers and good facilities. Not encounter worst aspects till now.
