**This two-year full-time Higher National Diploma course will give you the skills and knowledge needed to progress your career in the fascinating, challenging world of electrical and electronic engineering.****About the course**Electrical engineers are sought after worldwide across the private and public sector, from transport to healthcare, and education to construction.We’ll develop your knowledge across a range of core and more specialist units. The course will suit you if you’ve completed relevant studies at an advanced level (A Level or equivalent) or have relevant industry experience and want to pursue a career in electrical and/or electronic engineering.The course contains significant project-based learning including: laboratory investigations, design work, projects, case studies and tutorials.You’ll undertake independent study and practical problem-solving alongside more traditional methods such as tutorials. A minimum of 32 tariff points. Other combinations of qualifications and experience will also be considered, as will Level 3 qualifications not currently listed on UCAS tariff. We would expect applicants to be working at Level 2 or above in English and Maths. Mature students are welcome to apply. If you are a mature applicant you will need to demonstrate the ability to study engineering at this level and have a genuine interest in the subject area. All applicants will be considered on interview and must have a minimum 80% on their current course (where applicable).
