Queen's University Belfast

Queens is a really supportive place to study with great subject specific facilities and constant encouragement to do better and reach out for help. I am in my final year and have never came across a staff member who was unwilling to help or who I was unable to contact when I needed. The course covers a wide range of modules and incorporates a variety of engaging assessments. Due to the large number of students it isn't always possible for the university to have timetables that are very suitable for individual students, especially those living far away but I have always found them very flexible to help me get the most workable timetable. There are lots of student clubs and committees, as well as events planned and advertised and from the start you are encouraged to get involved. Due to starting at university during the pandemic I probably missed out on a lot of the usual student activities but thought that the university handled the situation well, especially for students who were just beginning. Overall, Queens has been a great experience with lots of opportunity for development and career guidance.

The facilities for student support are excellent and the overall grounds of the university are clean and aesthetic. I would appreciate more information on the activities that are taking place at uni.

Mostly everything is very clean and well taken care of (bathrooms, lecture halls, buildings). Very good teaching and good atmosphere. The McClay library bathrooms are the only negative I can say about the queen's uni. (They are not very clean and not well taken care of it looks like, especially compared with bathrooms everywhere else on campus)

Location and SU is first class. Improvements may include making information of what's going on around campus more accessible.

Overall, Queen’s definitely has an excellent campus and has provided an overall enjoyable experience. However, since Covid-19 has provided the option of recording classes, attendance seems at an all time low and consequently it has been harder to meet and get to know the other people on my course.

Queen's University Belfast is a great place to study thanks to its vibrant campus filled with beautiful buildings and advanced facilities. The level of student support available is amazing but must be sought after by students. The Students' Union is a great place to spend time with friends between classes and nights out in the Union bar.
