This programme, run jointly with UCL Economics, combines an in-depth study of economics and econometrics with a solid grounding in mathematical and statistical methods. The programme is suitable for students of high mathematical ability who are considering a career in finance, business or industry. This BSc is a joint degree programme taught in conjunction with UCL Economics. A first-year combination of statistics, economics and mathematics is followed by a roughly equal mix of statistics and economics modules (including econometrics) over years two and three. In the third year in particular, there is considerable flexibility in the range of options available in both economics and statistics.
