The MA in Early Modern Studies will teach you critical reading skills, the ability to assess and weigh evidence, and construct persuasive arguments. It combines training in book history, bibliography, and paleography with a range of theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the early modern period. Supervision and teaching is available from world-leading researchers from SELCS and CMII, with 83% of SELCS-CMII research activity being graded 4 ‘world leading’ and 3 ‘internationally excellent’ in the REF 2021.
