Your academic and professional qualifications, as well as any relevant professional experience, will normally be taken into account and, in some cases, may form an integral part of the entrance requirements. If you are applying for a distance learning research programme, you will also need to demonstrate that you have the time, commitment, facilities, and experience required to study by distance learning. You will normally be required to submit a research proposal. The word count is typically 1,000–1,500 words for Arts programmes and around 2,500 words for Law programmes.
