Students undertaking Drama and English at Queen’s explore theatre, performance, literature and language in the widest possible sense: from ancient Greece to Renaissance England the Irish Literary Revival to Postmodern America from the earliest writings in Anglo-Saxon to contemporary Irish, British, and ‘global’ literatures. Studying for a degree in Drama and English at Queen’s will assist you in developing the core skills and employment-related experiences that are valued by employers, professional organisations and academic institutions. Graduates of Drama at Queen's have gone on to work in professional theatre locally in Northern Ireland and throughout Great Britain and across the world, for example on the production of the recent JK Rowling play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in the West End and Broadway. Our graduates have also worked on a number of film and TV productions including Game of Thrones.
