**This course is primarily designed for face to face learning with you attending your lessons for the specified hours within the validation document. However, there may be periods of study where the government advises TEC Partnership that it is not safe to open campuses or there is limited access due to social distancing measures. If the campus is closed TEC Partnership will deliver your sessions online and offer you the necessary support and resources remotely. If there is limited access due to social distancing measures a blended model will be adopted with some lessons happening in small groups and others happening using online sessions and support. We will make decisions on the delivery hours for each programme as government advice becomes clearer. We are currently reviewing this programme and some elements of the published programmes may need to change in order for students to achieve. We will advise you of these changes once they are completed.**As a Digital and Technology Solutions graduate, you will have the option of progressing into careers such as cyber security analyst, data or systems analyst or engineer, IT consultant or technician, network or software engineer or web developer. Every learner will have the opportunity to develop: Web design and development skills in HTML, CSS and client-side scripting Systems analysis skills Database design and development skills within Microsoft Access and MYSQL/PHPMYDMIN Use of virtualisation technologies Network design and development skills – both local and business scale networks Network security and basic cybersecurity skills in protecting a business scale network Server side programming skills for e-commerce development. Digital technologies are now a fundamental part of all sectors of commerce and industry. Underpinning this is the continual need to design and develop technological solutions to a broad range of ever evolving problems. This encompasses a range of digital and communications based solutions centred on the acquisition, storage, manipulation, retrieval and dissemination of data. The development and continued success of business is increasingly based on its ability to harness digital and technology solutions to develop and market new products and services, increase productivity and workflow, minimise costs, and protect itself from threats from various forms of cybercrime. This course will equip you with the skills you need to design and develop technological solutions to a broad range of ever-evolving problems. This includes the ability to manage and maintain large sets of data as well as the application of advanced data analytics which rely on the application of artificial intelligence, and the fundamental digital skills required by employers in 2021 and beyond.
Standard entry requirement for the degree will be 80 UCAS points, with a minimum of grade ‘4’ in GCSE English or equivalent (Functional Skills Literacy Level 2 or Adult Literacy Level 2), and grade ‘4’ in GCSE Mathematics or equivalent (Functional Skills Numeracy Level 2 or Adult Numeracy Level 2).
