The course is equivalent to the first year of undergraduate study.You will develop the skills and confidence needed to work in a digital-technology-related business, ready to tackle a range of complex digital technologies.Digital technologies are electronic tools, devices, systems, and resources which generate, store or process data. Digital technology has changed the whole world with its new innovations.On this course you will the gain the core skills needed to start a career in this field, developing a sound knowledge of the basic concepts of digital technology.You will learn about a range of digital technology specialist functions, develop your understanding of the major impact that digital technologies have on the business environment, and gain an insight into digital technology operations and the opportunities and challenges presented by a global marketplace.You will learn through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. By participating in vocational activities, you will develop key behaviours and transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, research and analysis. Plus, you’ll be taught by a friendly, committed and qualified team of lecturers who have both professional and teaching experience.On progression to the Level 5 Higher National Diploma you will be able to specialise by committing to specific career paths and, on completion, have the option for progression to degree-level study.
