Diagnostic radiography is an allied health profession which uses cutting edge technology to produce diagnostic images in a clinical setting. After completing this programme, graduates are eligible to register with the HCPC and practise as a Diagnostic Radiographer. You’ll learn to use a range of imaging techniques to assess injuries and illnesses. We’ll help you develop the skills and adaptability you need to deliver high quality patient-centred care in a range of settings. You’ll also learn about communication and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Central to our degree course is the strong partnership we maintain with local healthcare providers, both within the NHS and the private sector. This collaboration not only enriches our curriculum but also ensures that our students receive comprehensive, hands-on experience through a variety of healthcare placements. Our goal is to cultivate a sustainable local workforce that meets the staffing needs of health employers in Gloucestershire and beyond.
Many graduates pursue fulfilling careers within the NHS or private sector as diagnostic radiographers, playing a crucial role in patient care and diagnosis. Others channel their expertise into research, contributing to advancements in medical imaging and healthcare.
