Please note that A-level General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills and Global Perspectives are not accepted by King's as one of your A levels. Biology or Chemistry are required, in addition to studying one of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths or Psychology. Plus grade 6/B in both English Language and Mathematics at GCSE.

Must be a combination of three Scottish Highers and two Scottish Advanced Highers. We do not count the Higher and Advanced Higher in the same subject.

QAA Access to Medicine/Dentistry HE Diploma taken at a UK Further Education College full time over one year may be considered. Additionally, GCSE (or accepted Level 2 equivalents) at Grade 6/B in both English Language and Mathematics required (or recognised equivalent).

Please note that Global Perspectives is not accepted by King’s as one of your Pre-U Principal subjects. Combinations of Pre-U principal subjects and other qualifications (such as A-levels) will be considered. Must include D3 in Principal subject Chemistry or Biology, in addition to grade D3 in one of Principa subjects Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics or Psychology.

38 points overall or an aggregate score of 19 from three Higher Levels. Must include grade 6 in Higher Level Chemistry or Biology, in addition to grade 6 in Higher Level in one of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics or Psychology. Notes: The total point score of 38 includes TOK/EE. For applicants studying the new IB curriculum, we can accept either Mathematics – Analysis and Approaches or Mathematics – Applications and Interpretations. GCSE/IGCSE English Language and Mathematics requirements can be met via IB Standard Level/Middle Years grade 5, if not studied/studying at Higher Level.
