Lead organisations and society towards a net zero world by developing the knowledge and skills to deliver decarbonisation initiatives with real impact.
In the face of a climate emergency, reaching net zero is imperative for businesses, and decarbonisation plays a crucial role in this journey. Organisations must adapt quickly to the complexities of reducing carbon emissions across practices, processes, and technologies. This challenging transition creates a space for a new kind of workforce – climate-literate graduates who can apply technical, managerial, and strategical skillsets to decarbonisation projects.
Our course focuses on developing your knowledge in the areas employers highly value. This includes systems thinking, critical analysis, creativity, collaborative and interpersonal skills to lead organisational and sustainable change.
We believe that you can deliver impact as part of your studies so instead of a doing a dissertation, you'll work on a consultancy project with industry. You could work with businesses, charities, government or the local community on low-carbon projects linked to real challenges.
A flexible and collaborative learning experience
Our course includes flexible, hybrid learning options so that students who can't always be on campus can engage fully and build valuable remote-working skills. It also allows us to reduce the carbon impact of the course.
We take a team-based approach to teaching. Throughout the course you’ll work in diverse groups with students from a range of backgrounds so that each cohort has a unique educational experience.
Learning and assessment
You’ll be taught and assessed by a variety of methods and it will vary between units. These methods are designed to promote in-depth learning and understanding of the subject.
You should have a Bachelor’s honours degree or international equivalent, typically a 2:2 or above.
