As society becomes increasingly reliant on data and AI, tech companies, government bodies, thinktanks and NGOs alike are searching for individuals with the necessary training to analyse, interpret and present this data. This course will provide you with the practical research skills and knowledge, to critically understand and ethically assess how data is used across a multitude of industries.
You will benefit from a sociologically informed understanding of data-centric systems, which are integral to the majority of industries today, as well as the focus of governmental and non-governmental bodies.
We believe that an interdisciplinary and critical approach to data and computational systems and their ethical use is a requirement for roles within tech companies, government bodies, thinktanks and non-governmental organisations alike.
Applicants will normally have a lower second-class (2.2) honours degree or above, or international equivalent.
