Wrth ddewis astudio’r cwrs gradd Cysylltiadau Rhyngwladol yn yr Adran Gwleidyddiaeth Ryngwladol ym Mhrifysgol Aberystwyth byddi’n dewis astudio yn y ganolfan orau yn y Deyrnas Gyfunol ar gyfer astudio cysylltiadau rhyngwladol. Mae’r adran hefyd yn gartref i Sefydliad Gwleidyddiaeth Cymru. Mae’r cyfuniad o ddysgu rhagorol ac ymchwil gyffrous yn creu profiad unigryw ac eithriadol yma, a hynny mewn awyrgylch gyfeillgar. Ceir cyfleoedd yma i ddatgblygu sgiliau trosglwyddadwy a fydd yn cynyddu dy gyfle am yrfaoedd, ac rydym yn cynnig cynllun lleoliadau yn Nhŷ’r Cyffredin a’r Cynulliad Cenedlaethol, yn ogystal â rhaglenni cyfnewid gyda gwledydd Ewropeaidd, Canada ac Awstralia i’n myfyrwyr. Rydym yn rhoi cyfle i’n myfyrwyr efelychu argyfyngau gwleidyddol ar gyrsiau maes cyffrous, ac mae hyn oll wedi ei leoli mewn amgylchedd bywiog a chosmopolitaidd yng nghalon campws y Brifysgol.Amcan y radd Cysylltiadau Rhyngwladol yw edrych yn fanwl ar waith a phatrymau llywodraeth, ac yn bwysicach fyth, ar ganlyniadau’r gwaith a’r patrymau rheiny. Mae’n ymwneud â gwleidyddion a llywodraethau, ond hefyd â grwpiau a mudiadau eraill megis cwmnïau rhyngwladol, undebau llafur, grwpiau cymdeithas sifil, ac eraill sy’n dylanwadu ar fywyd gwleidyddol.Mae’r radd hon yn trafod y syniadau sy’n sail i’n bywydau o ddydd i ddydd, megis cyfiawnder, rhyddid, grym, cymuned, cydraddoldeb a dinasyddiaeth, a gwneir hynny wrth astudio ystod eang o wledydd a sefyllfaoedd.Sefydlwyd yr Adran Gwleidyddiaeth Ryngwladol yn 1919 ar ddiwedd y Rhyfel Byd Cyntaf, a dyma’r adran brifysgol gyntaf o’i bath, ac mae’n parhau i fod yn un o’r adrannau gwleidyddiaeth a chysylltiadau rhyngwladol mwyaf yn Ewrop, a chanddi dros 40 o staff academaidd.Mae’r awyrgylch dysgu cynhyrfus a chosmopolitaidd yma yn croesawu myfyrwyr o bedwar ban byd, ac yn gartref bywiog i drafodaeth wleidyddol gyfoes. Mae gan yr adran hanes hir o edrych ar y byd a gofyn cwestiynau sylfaenol am ystod o bynciau – materion megis rhyfel, cudd-wybodaeth a diogelwch, tlodi byd-eang, moeseg a newid hinsawdd sut y daeth y byd i fod fel ag y mae, a sut y mae hynny’n newid o hyd. Mae’r cyfuniad o ddysgu rhagorol a pheth o’r gwaith ymchwil mwyaf cyffrous yn y maes yn creu profiad unigryw ac eithriadol.Mae’r adran yn rhedeg Cynllun Lleoliadau Tŷ’r Cyffredin a Chynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru. Mae’r lleoliadau yma’n darparu profiad gwaith gwerthfawr dros ben fydd yn ychwanegu llawer at CV myfyrwyr yn ogystal â chynnig profiad go iawn o wleidyddiaeth wrth iddo ddigwydd. Caiff myfyrwyr eu gosod gydag Aelod Seneddol yn Nhŷ’r Cyffredin, San Steffan neu gydag Aelod Cynulliad yn Senedd Cymru, Caerdydd am gyfnod o 4-6 wythnos yn ystod yr haf, sydd yn brofiad gwych i unrhyw fyfyriwr Gwleidyddiaeth.Mae gan yr Adran gysylltiadau hefyd â phrifysgolion dethol yn Ewrop, Awstralia a Chanada, a dyma gyfle gwych i ti ehangu dy orwelion academaidd a chymdeithasol drwy dreulio rhan o dy brofiad prifysgol dramor.Ymhlith y cymdeithasau myfyrwyr bywiog sy’n meithrin ymdeimlad cryf o gymuned o fewn yr Adran, mae Cymdeithas Wleidyddiaeth Gymraeg Aberystwyth (CWGA). Cynhelir cyfarfodydd y Gymdeithas ddwywaith neu dair y tymor, gyda’r bwriad o glywed ysgolheigion ac ymarferwyr yn rhannu eu syniadau a’u hymchwil trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg, cynnal trafodaethau bywiog ar ystod o bynciau perthnasol, a rhoi cyfle i fyfyrwyr a staff cyfrwng Cymraeg yr adran a’r brifysgol ac unigolion brwdfrydig lleol i rannu syniadau a chymdeithasu.Yn ystod y ddwy flynedd ddiwethaf yma, cafwyd darlithoedd gan yr Arglwydd Dafydd Elis-Thomas, Carwyn Jones AC, Arglwydd Elystan Morgan, y Gwir Anrhydeddus Dafydd Wigley, Glyn Davies AC, a’r Arglwydd John Morris, sgyrsiau am yr Ariannin gan Dr Lucy Taylor, ar etholiadau gan yr Athro Roger Scully,
