Why Choose Liverpool Hope?

Liverpool is a World Heritage City of Music, attracting one million people each year for music events. The city’s rich musical heritage—from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra to the Beatles through to Northern Soul and the club scene—make it an attractive UK city in which to study music at the Masters level.

Liverpool Hope University’s Creative Campus consists of four beautiful, Grade II Listed buildings located in Liverpool city centre. The state-of-the-art facilities at the Creative Campus include two theatres, two dance studios, two black box performance spaces, a suite of audio editing and music recording studios, a music library, music practice rooms, business incubation spaces and The Capstone Theatre, a 260-seat performance space engineered to be acoustically perfect. Liverpool Hope is also an All-Steinway Music School, demonstrating a commitment to excellence by providing our students with the best equipment possible for the study of music.

The programme is enhanced by Liverpool Hope University’s numerous partnerships with professional ensembles, organisations, venues, and festivals, such as the Immix Ensemble, the Pixels Ensemble, Parr Street Studios, Liverpool Sound City, the Angel Field Festival, Sentric Music, Milapfest, the Pagoda Ensemble, Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Liverpool City Council.

Careers

The main focus of this Masters programme is to professionalise music students, preparing them for the world of work by aiding them in putting together a portfolio career. By the end of this programme, students will continue to develop their creative practice in a critically-informed way, while at the same time honing the necessary skillset to promote, distribute and manage their own artistic, creative, and scholarly ambitions as they bring it to the public arena.
