The course’s raison d'être has been shaped by industry demands. The boundary between digital and creative roles is blurring all the time, and few graduates have the combination of skills employers are looking for. As such, our creative computing course arms students with a portfolio of artistic, design and technical skills through an exciting and flexible programme.You will explore how computing and digital technologies can enhance creativity and develop the skills and knowledge to become a creative professional within the media and arts industries. The course focuses on two distinct pathways to give you an understanding of computing and digital technologies across the spectrum. During your first year, you’ll gain a solid grounding in technology and focus on its application in creative contexts, as well as skills in designing computer applications, developing your technological creativity and investigating the process of new media development using programming languages. In years two and three, you’ll have the opportunity to either concentrate on the artistic aspects of the subject or take a more scientific approach. The course can be shaped to meet your own personal passions. This highly versatile degree prepares you for a range of careers within the computing and digital technologies sector.
