Are you looking for a career in project management in the construction industry?Do you want to develop the skills needed to plan and manage building projects from initiation to completion?This course, developed alongside employers in the sector, is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to project or programme manage the full range of commercial and domestic construction projects.You’ll learn how to plan projects, from initiation through to completion, covering aspects such as the allocation of resources, risk and people management.Throughout your studies, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the core principles and practices of construction project management, including sustainability, financial management, procurement, leadership and commercial practice.You’ll explore the role of construction project managers and the tools and techniques used to oversee the entire process of new building projects; from meeting with the client to discuss the initial plans, hiring a team and managing building legislation to managing the project budget, liaising with the client and overseeing the construction team.You'll have the opportunity to complete employer projects enabling you to develop your employability skills and build contacts in the sector.By the time you graduate, you’ll have been able to develop the necessary skills required for your career as a built environment professional.
