The aim of Pearson BTEC Higher Nationals in Construction Management for England is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals who can meet the needs of employers in the construction sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The Variety Of units undertaken will prepare students to undertake project and site management, which will improve career prospects of those seeking to work within the industry.Students will be introduced to the different technological concepts used to enable the construction of building elements, from substructure to completion, by understanding the different functional characteristics and design considerations that need to be borne in mind when selecting most suitable technological solution. Students will explore the make-up and the impact of the construction industry on the environment and society. you will be able to analyse the legal status of different types of construction companies, their business strategies and how they raise and manage their finances ,and the management of resources available to them. Students will be introduced to the drivers and benefits associated with building information modelling (BIM), as well as the terminology that surrounds it. You will take part in activities to develop behaviours (the attitudes and approaches required for a competence) and transferable skills.
