This Computing (Top-Up) degree has been designed to lead you into an exciting career in computing or a more specialised career in networking and cyber security. Alongside the compulsory modules on this degree, you will have the opportunity to choose two further modules depending on your interests and career aspirations. The optional modules include systems development, web APIs, advanced networking and digital forensics. As a Computing student you will also have access to our fantastic facilities dedicated networking lab with its own private internal network, allowing you to build your own network using the latest industry standard hardware and software. Working alongside industry-experienced tutors, you will gain practical experience and theoretical knowledge, setting you up for a fulling career in this exciting industry. We constantly update our curriculum to ensure that it covers the latest developments in the computing subject area, including the research and professional experience that your tutors bring to the course. Our course teams draw on the wealth of experience provided by our professional contacts and highly successful alumni who feed into the design of our courses and provide master classes and workshops to enrich your learning. The Collaborative Development module gives you the opportunity to work with other students on a real-world project which will build professional skills such as communication, problem solving, team work and presenting. Upon successful completion of this degree you can progress onto a Masters qualification and further specialise in your selected area of computing, or move into employment within the industry. This course will develop your skills to allow for a career in website development, software development, IT management, IT consultancy, teaching and IT training roles or other related industries.
