In year one you will develop your knowledge of programming, computer systems architecture, databases and data analysis, networks, wireless and systems analysis. In your second year you will continue to study a mixture of modules focusing on aspects of computing as well as modules specialising in software development. The benefits of studying a Foundation Degree with us includes high rates of tutorial support and access to tutors, smaller class sizes and access to all the facilities on the University Campus including full University of Hertfordshire student status. This gives you access to our Learning Resources Centres open 24/7(during term time), Hertfordshire Sports Village, StudyNet – a virtual learning environment providing online course materials, and our Students’ Union where you can join a club, meet new people and enjoy a taste of university life. Did you know the course fees are lower for studying a Foundation Degree? Studying a Foundation Degree with us really does give you the best of both worlds. Foundation Degrees are nationally recognised intermediate level higher education qualifications. They emphasise work-based learning and focus on the development of your employability skills along both personal and professional development. You will develop graduate attributes alongside your subject knowledge; essential not only for work but also for future study.
