University of Sussex

I love how beautiful the campus is, there is a combination of both the nature and fun. Everything is literally perfect about the uni and and i love everything about it and im so happy to be here. I cannot find anything that they can improve they are already improving loads of stuff continuously.

The teaching quality is excellent. The lecturers are supportive and always willing to help students. The campus is quite far from the city centre, which makes it a bit inconvenient to go shopping in Brighton.

I enjoy the lectures and seminars as well as the library. The location is very out of the way and hard to get to but since the facilities are close together it is easy to move around

The location is really nice and the lectures are nice. The only worst aspect is some of the old buildings but other than that its great.

Personally speaking for me joining Sussex was my biggest goal completion of 2025, and specially getting into Mres advanced AI . I had got offers from 5 other universities also but still my heart went for Sussex . The thought that I had in mind about the faculties and their guidance , literally is everything that I expected . Having a research mindset is often not enough if you are setting your foot for the first time in this field , but what matters is the journey and the professors or mentors you meet along way and the way they are there at every doubt that you have . One of my other favourite thing about UoS , are my fellow friends , everyone is unique in there own way , and really friendly I have to say . And since I’m pretty away from home , I needed to be surrounded by people who are not judgemental or difficult to talk with . But thankfully Sussex students are very different , which why I was able to make 6friends within 1month and trust me as a person who doesn’t talks much , it’s a very big achievement for me. So yes UoS is really a great place to study and thrive without any tension . Worst aspect might be I get lost in the buildings most of the time :) , but it’s mainly my fault though and yes the UK weather , cause when I plan to not carry a rain coat then suddenly it starts raining ( heavily I must add) , and when I carry it’s the most sunniest day you’ll ever see .

Sussex has a brilliant, homely feel compared to other universities. It's located in amongst a nature reserve so the campus is like no other and so close to the brilliant city of Brighton! Possibly for some student life may be a little quiet, but if you're not a massive party-goer / raver this is probably the uni for you.
