Computer Science is a complex and wide-ranging subject, and includes the study of computation theory, the design of systems and artificial intelligence. On this broad-based course, you focus on the essential areas and build your practical skills, before taking on a specialism and graduating into a rewarding career in your chosen field. The course shares its first year with our other related BSc degrees to give you a foundation in the subject while providing a platform for specialist study in the second and third years. You concentrate on essential areas such as systems architecture and security while acquiring practical skills in programming, modelling and software development. You then focus on a chosen specialist area for your final stage project. This course is accredited to the British Computer Society (BCS), the Chartered Institute for IT. You also have the opportunity to study for the AWS Cloud Foundation certification.
