With an active students’ union organising events and networking opportunities, Huddersfield provides a well-rounded university experience that helps Computer Science students thrive both academically and socially.

The student support is on of the best things in the university. The scheduled PAT meetings to check up on the students progress. The students guidance team to help the student with whatever he’s going through. And the worst thing is the lack of competition between students academically. More competition needs to be created to build the environment of work where yes everyone is in a team but you all are competing for that promotion. The lack of incentives is causing this competition to be close to nonexistent.

Exactly the environment I seek to study and also the course that I have always desired to pursue including the modules that align with specific areas I have interest on. Location is lovely and peaceful as its away from main cities. People are great and friendly and I get everything what I have asked for

Facilities are modern and well-equipped, creating a professional learning environment. The cost of living in Huddersfield is also affordable compared to many other UK cities. However, some students feel that the quality of teaching can vary between courses. The town itself is quite small, with limited nightlife and social activities. A few students have mentioned that some accommodations need better maintenance. Student support services could also be more proactive, especially for mental health and international students. Overall, Huddersfield is a friendly and affordable university with great teaching, but it could improve its social life, accommodation, and consistency across courses.

The support you get from the university is both useful and impactful. I think the worst part would be maybe include a study sessions for students.
