My experience at Sheffield Hallam University has been really positive overall. The lecturers are very supportive and always ready to help whenever I face challenges with my coursework. The university provides excellent facilities, including modern computer labs, libraries, and study areas, which create a great environment for learning and research. I’ve also enjoyed being part of a diverse student community, where I’ve met people from different backgrounds and cultures, making the experience more enriching and enjoyable. The only downside is that managing deadlines for multiple assignments can sometimes be stressful, especially when they all come around the same time.

Studying here is a really great experience because of how diverse and welcoming the environment is. You get to meet people from all over the world, which makes learning much more interesting. The teaching style also encourages you to think independently and apply what you learn in real situations, which feels more practical than just memorising theories. Plus, there are plenty of resources — from libraries to labs — that make studying easier. That said, there’s always room for improvement. Sometimes it can be hard to adapt to the academic style, especially for international students, so having more study workshops or one-on-one academic support would help. The cost of living is also quite high, so more affordable housing options or financial aid would make a big difference. Amazing course leaders who support students. A lot of facilities. I wish the computing building and lecture halls were as nice as other courses!

Best aspect: the study spaces in the new university buildings nice and quiet Worst aspect: the lighting is too bright in the library, also feels more communal instead of a library
