A computer science degree can fast-track you onto your chosen career path, giving you skills that can last you across a lifetime of computer science. About the programme: Designed for students from a non-computing background, this programme explores the fundamentals of computer science and software development. You will build your knowledge of key trends and themes within the field, while expanding your horizons with specialist modules in artificial intelligence. Career prospects: As technology increasingly impacts all areas of modern life, the demand for qualified computing professionals grows. Upon completion of your programme, you will be prepared to take on roles such as software engineer, machine learning practitioner, big data analyst, network administrator, database manager, IT consultant, AI developer, research scientist and information strategy manager. An Executive Scholarship of 15% is available for our January 2026 intake.
Applicants for this programme should hold either:
(i) a degree in any subject equivalent to a UK Bachelors degree (2:2 or above),
OR
(ii) at least 2 years experience in employment, which would normally be of a technical nature, comparable with the award of a bachelors degree.
If you have limited exposure in numeracy or programming you may need to consider further effort in these areas to maintain the standards of the programme, but are still encouraged to apply.
