In the BSc Computer Science (Cybersecurity) pathway, you'll explore issues in keeping computer systems secure from hackers and its users protected from fraud. This is an extremely sought after skill across a wide range of industries, making you highly-employable in a competitive jobs market. You'll learn how to:Interrogate the underlying principles of networking and operating systems, find vulnerabilities and propose solutions.Understand Cryptography and how it is used.Challenge the methods that protect a computer system and network from attack.Investigate information flows and the transactional nature of data in both client-server and peer-to-peer networks.Develop websites and software that utilise secure models and principles.Length3 years full-time 4 years full-time with the third year spent on industrial placement 6 - 8 years part-time
