Our Computer Networking and Cyber Security BSc (Hons) degree will teach you how to prevent and detect cyber security breaches from hacking, as well as fraud against networks, information, applications, businesses and other systems that rely on technology. More about this courseCyber security is a growing and fundamental discipline due to the high increase of sophisticated cyber-attacks. In addition to helping you develop a deeper understanding of cyber security; this course will expand your knowledge of computing and computer networking. You’ll study subjects such as networks and operating systems, programming and security in computing, before moving on to specialist cyber security topics such as ethical hacking, digital crime investigation and network and cloud security. Theoretical study will be complemented by hands-on practice in our state-of-the-art computer and cyber security laboratories. London Metropolitan University is the proud home of the UK’s first-ever Cisco Networking Academy, which was established more than 15 years ago and the brand-new Cyber Security Research Centre of excellence. This course incorporates the complete set of CCNA modules, meaning that you’ll graduate with additional Cisco CCNA 1, 2, 3, 4 and Network Security certifications on top of your degree.Throughout the course, you’ll be supported by highly-qualified teaching staff who have strong links with the industry and potential employers.
