Computer Games Design with Animation (with a Placement Year)

The best aspect of the university is the wide range of courses and genuinely passionate lecturers who are excellent at teaching. The worst aspect is that you have no where to study as every single computer lab is fully booked at all times. There are no dedicated study rooms for game design students or anyone that requires a computer.

Games design course is great and the staff are really knowledgeable and helpful. Lots of different games courses for every speciality. A lot of support and information for careers in games. Surrounding area of Stoke isn’t the best and uni owned housing is a bit depressing but cheap.

My course itself is a very good course I've got amazing lectures and the quality of the course is also really good, I just have a problem with the location, I live on campus and it's quite far from a lot of the local stores which can be a little annoying, there's also not a lot to do here in terms of student events and the ones we do have aren't the best and can be a little boring, also the mellor building and the building next to it looks very old on the outside but the other buildings look really nice, and I don't interact much with the student Union so I didn't vote too high for it

Beat is the academics in the Games Department as well as the communities formed through clubs and societies. The general atmosphere is also inclusion and feels safe for me. Improvements that would be great to see would be more affordable food on campus and more lap availability outside of class time.

The university is great , as a international student I found the university and the staffs very friendly and about my course I'm happy that I took this course and it makes a great impact for my skills.
