The aim of the Myerscough Competition Motorcycle Technology course is to provide the skills that make a team successful, and provide an in depth understanding of the sport.The course includes the planning of teamwork with the option to participate in events. Modules within the course will give you the grounding and understanding of the fundamentals of the motorcycle industry whilst also providing the opportunity to specialise in motorcycle dynamics, competition preparation, race set-up and working practices employed by the industry. You will gain an understanding in the current industry practices and standards, essential in preparing you to join the industry. The course also includes hands on work preparing competition motorcycles, designing components and investigating technical systems.

Founded in 1894 as a cheese-making school, Myerscough College and University Centre has grown to become one of the UK’s largest providers of specialist education and training for land-based and sports industries. It offers undergraduate courses in over 20 different subject areas, including Agriculture, Animal Studies, Equine Studies, Horticulture, Motorsports, and Sports Studies.
Around 6000 students are enrolled at the college, around 2000 of which are part-time students, and around 1000 of which study for Higher Education qualifications. The college is an Associate School of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), one of the largest and most dynamic universities in the UK, and Myerscough students can benefit from having access to UCLan’s wide range of student facilities and support.
