Nottingham Trent University

Really good support. I have friends at lots of other unis and none of them have had the support made available as good as NTU. On my course we use equipment which is outdated now. I understand you need to know the old ways of doing things but since I have been on placement I have had to learn how to use new kit from new. It would have been good to have a few times using similar stuff before.

City is populated with thousands of students from two universities, and everything in Nottingham is made very accessible with both a compact City Centre as well as brilliant transport links. City Campus is integrated wonderfully within the Centre and looks beautiful. Lecturers/Tutors are all very helpful and will provide as much assistance as you need to progress throughout your University life!

NTU supports you with anything you need, most things for free or at least affordable. All teachers here make sure you know what you doing and they will go through everything again if needed. It feels safe to walk around the campus.

Notringham Trent University is a good university. There's help available if you need it though you will have to seek out the help. The city campus is convenient in the heart of the city so there's a lot to do and a lot to see. Facilities are almost always available and booking process are generally very straightforward. I will say I wish the studenta union had a wider variety of events and mixers that happened more often. I also wish information circulated easier. Other than emails I don't know of any other central news platform. A lot of the sub-groups, societies or schools on campus will require you downloading an app or joining a new social media platform to stay in the loop, its quite a lot if you are with multiple of these. Its not very convenient having to download a new app for everything and much as University students keep up with their emails, I think it would be better and there'd be more engagement with a central system. I know the Students Union has a Web page but its not very engaging and not a lot of people pay much attention to it. I do wish NTU had some facilities like a swimming pool but I know they liase with institutions in nottingham to provide discounted prices for NTU students. I like the fact that there's a lot to explore in the city and the University makes some of these experiences easier to access. I wish some societies would be a little more engaging. I think the Students union should mandate them having activities otherwise, joining them feels like a bit of a waste. Mental health care could be improved as well. Its inconvenient when you have to wait an extended period to receive therapy because many people are simultaneously trying to get help. I think more staff could be hired and the system can be made more accessible. Overall, I think NTU is a good University. There's a lot to do for people with varying interests, nightlife can be as fun as you want it to be and there's a good amount of help and facilities available on campus should you need it (you do have to seek for your own help though).

NTU is a great place to study because of the diversity that it offers. From Societies to Social events, it has everything.

That said, one area for improvement could be the occasional delays in administrative processes, which can be frustrating at times. Additionally, some courses could benefit from a wider range of optional modules to allow for more personalized learning paths. Overall, NTU is a fantastic place to study, offering a balance between academic excellence, personal development, and an active social scene.
