This professionally accredited BEng Honours degree includes a year in industry, boosting your academic knowledge with practical work experience in the civil engineering sector. You'll learn about the infrastructure that underpins our quality of life, such as:• water supply and sanitation• transportation• structuresYou also develop a strong understanding of how society might address global challenges such as climate change, population growth and resource scarcity.Design projects give you the opportunity to showcase your professional skills, particularly in sustainable engineering.Between Stages 2 and 3 you take a paid year in industry. In a relevant area of engineering or physical science. At least 15 credits should be in mathematics at Distinction (including differential and integral calculus). Other units should include analytical engineering sciences (e.g. mechanical or electrical science/principles, physics, chemistry, materials science, electronics).
